Senior Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst

I am currently recruiting for a Senior Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst to work for a Global Infrastructure Group that operates around the world, to be based in Sheffield.

Main Duties

  • Monthly analysis of the Services Divisions P&L, Capital Employed, Cashflow, Unexecuted Orders and Headcount to key stakeholders throughout the division and group, within agreed timelines.
  • Own and control the internal quarterly forecast process. Ensure that the relevant information is received, consolidated, analysed and presented to senior management.
  • Planning and co-ordination of the annual budgeting process. Ensure that the required information is obtained, analysed & presented to key stakeholders within the agreed deadlines.
  • Assist with the annual completion of the Strategic Road Map (SRM).
  • Develop and implement enhanced analysis to improve the quality of financial & non-financial information, aiding improved decision making.
  • Provide effective challenge to the businesses on the robustness and accuracy of their forecasts and budgets.
  • Identify new and improve existing procedures and models to respond to changes in a timely and effective manner.
  • Enhance quality of financial reporting by resolving errors and inconsistencies in data from financial reporting systems.
  • Support the wider finance team in their understanding of financial modelling & analysis
  • Clear communication and promotion of the company objectives and code of values.
  • Complete any ad-hoc requests and improvement projects.
  • Work with Senior Divisional Accountant in supporting the Group FP&A teams with any queries.
  • Ensure a culture of customer service and delivery to both internal and external customers.

Experience required

  • Previous FP&A experience in a large Blue Chip organisation.
  • Self-motivated, proactive and results orientated.
  • Positive attitude towards the business and to process change and hence the task at hand.
  • Proven skills of analysis for comprehension and problem solving.
  • Technically astute Qualified Accountant with minimum of 5 years PQE.
  • Good attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong hands-on reporting skills.
  • Must be able to develop and maintain effective relationships with all levels of management and be able to win the confidence of senior managers within the business.
  • Able to effectively communicate, both verbally, in presentation and in writing with various parts of the business.
  • Aptitude for developing models that with insightful analysis against budgets and forecasts to meet the ever changing requirements of the business.
  • Willing to travel between multiple locations.
