Our client, a large bank, has a requirement for a Wealth Strategy Manager to sit within their Private Banking Division. The ideal candidate will be QCF Level 6 Qualified (Level 4 minimum) and have a strong background in wealth management.

Location: London or Home based

Role:
*Sets the Wealth Business advice P&L agenda, develops strategic change and manages through to improve customer proposition and advice profitability
*Interprets policy and proposes Strategic Changes to the Advice Process driven either by regulatory changes or business need.

Role Accountabilities:
*Defining key advice content (eg implication of choosing appropriate tax boxes to meet customer needs, approach to IHT and Pension planning, definition of advice approach for specialist advice areas, Advice Charging Policy etc.)
*Definition of strategic change to the Advice Approach driven either by regulatory changes or business need; and assessing the subsequent impact on the advice process and advisor capabilities
*Preparing detailed strategic proposals in a consistent way and to high standards
*Policy interpretation and ensuring alignment across the various advice areas
*Driving advice led business development opportunities eg Tax Year end Campaigns
*Building strong working relationships and managing key stakeholders to ensure changes are implemented efficiently.

Essential:
*Chartered Financial Planner ie QCF Level 6 (or at a minimum QCF Level 4)
*Society of Trust and Estate Planners (STEP) certificate in Trust and Estate Planning

In addition the candidate should have:

*An in depth understanding of applicable financial services regulation.
*An excellent knowledge of the adviser role and advice processes
*A technical knowledge of the financial services industry, including products, processes and client need solutions.
*Strong interpersonal skills necessary to communicate negotiate and influence.
*Ability to prioritise and act on varied issues with a high attention to detail and thoroughness.
*The individual should be proactive and a role model demonstrating required behaviours when championing new initiatives. Dependent on workload the candidate may be required to support other business areas on occasion.
