Description
MSSQL Server DBA required to join the Project DBA team with relevant Production Support DBA experience.
The role provides exposure to leading edge software technology and underlying platforms operating mission critical services to the group. You will be required to work closely with the Principal DB services engineer, Live DBA's and Management to ensure that the processes and solutions deployed are leading edge and fit for purpose.
Competencies:
- Provide day to day technical support for the designated database environments
- Providing technical leadership and troubleshooting assistance to other DBAs.
- Lead the resolution of complex issues on high profile Projects.
- Capacity, performance monitoring & management for the database environments
- Security consciousness in day-to-day database operations.
- Provide high quality database services to projects delivering to time and specification.
- Excellent Performance tuning, optimisation and production experience required.
Technical Requirements:
- Proven financial services experience in database administration, performance and tuning of Microsoft SQL Server
- Database backup, recovery & disaster recovery scenarios.
- Knowledge Scripting Power Shell, DOS scripts, T-SQL for the prevailing MS platform
- Proven experience with database security like encryption, audit trail, account re-certification, vulnerability scan remediation etc.
- Degree educated in technical discipline: computer science, engineering, etc.
- Technical certification: Microsoft Certified Technical specialist for MSSQL.
