Senior ESB Developer
This role is primarily focused on the development and support of PolarLake ESB Services. The individual will work closely with the architect as well as the other software developers and project team members. The candidate must be able to analyze, design, code, test, execute, assess, and troubleshoot software programs and applications with production support. This includes researching, designing, configuring, coding, developing, documenting, and modifying software specifications throughout the application life cycle.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with business analysts and solution architects in the development of new solutions and/or software programs and applications.
- Assist other developers, analysts, and designers in conceptualizing and developing new software programs and applications.
- Responsible for planning, processing and performing all jobs in an efficient manner with minimal supervision
- Assist in the preparation and documentation of software requirements, specifications and designs
- Develop, translate, and code and unit test software programs and applications according to specifications
- Run and monitor software performance tests on new and existing programs for the purposes of correcting errors, isolating areas for improvement, and general debugging
- Administer critical analysis of test results and deliver solutions to problem areas.
- Generate statistics and prepare and write reports for management and/or team members on the status of the programming process
Desired Skills and Experience:
- At least 7 years' experience in Java building software products from design through development and launch.
- Minimum 5 years' experience with ESB implementation as well as worked in an environment handling large volume of data & services. Experience of Polarlake ESB an advantage.
- Ability to optimize the performance characteristics of an ESB integration environment by planning, testing, monitoring, troubleshooting and supporting various systems integrations.
- Strong knowledge of service oriented architecture (SOA), JMS/MQ, BPEL and Web services (SOAP/REST).
- Strong Development Knowledge of Oracle Database 11g.
- Knowledge of XML, XSD, Xquery, XPath and data transformation.
- Experience designing and implementing technologies and processes supporting Software Development activities (eg configuration and build management tools, continuous integration).
- Knowledge of Banking, Financial Services & Capital Markets an advantage.
- A track record of analysis and resolution of complex technical problems and delivery of innovative technical solutions.
- 2 to 4 years of production support experience
- Excellent leadership, communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills.
