Description
SQL / Sybase developer required for major Market Risk change programme within leading global bank.You will be responsible for using SQL, Sybase and Perl application development on a Unix platform to deliver integration and standardisation changes to risk management systems within Market Risk.
This role is offered on the basis of a six month contract based in central London at a rate of up to £540 per day.
Key Technologies of SQL / Sybase developer:
- Expert level usage of both SQL and Sybase in an investment banking environment
- Stored proc development and data modelling in relation to the above
- Sound knowledge of Unix platform including Korn and Borne shells
- Use of Perl for application development
Business Knowledge of SQL / Sybase developer:
- Previous experience of investment banks front offices is essential
- Working knowledge of asset classes such as equities, fixed income and FX
- Good understanding of risk systems that provide calculations, aggregation, analytical and reporting functions
