NETWORK AND SYSTEM CONSULTANT, BELGIUM, £EXCELLENT DAY
One of our prestigious clients is currently looking to add an experienced Network and System Consultant to one of their sites based in Belgium.
Responsibilities
- To scope, plan, create and manage the Subversion/SVN environments
- To migrate existing Source Code Management to Subversion Edge or any other CM environment as decided by the management.
- To offer expertise in install, upgrade, manage the Subversion/Apache Server in production environment and support throughout the life cycle
- To document, conduct trainings and perform any other tasks that will enable the CM team to provide better support to all other team ie Development, QA, Data base teams.
- To work closely across streams with various team members as required by assigned tasks
- To provides CM status reports on a weekly/monthly basis to ensure that the management team is informed of the progress.
- To provide input to the CM Roadmap, team goals and future strategy
- To manage, maintain, and develop the environment for software product build, staging,testing, and integration.
- Shall also apply concepts and define and implement software configuration management processes and procedures, such as creating product build scripts and procedures, and integrating those scripts with the software build process.
Essential Skills
- A Degree in Computer Science/IT or equivalent stream with 7 - 10 years of proven industry experience in SVN and other version controlling tools and environment with strong administration and support experience.
- Windows operating system knowledge and experience is must
- Strong hands-on Scripting experience with ANT and Perl/Shell/Batch is must
- Rich experience with CM process, concepts, tools, and methodologies is must
- Working knowledge of Continuous Integration (CI) tools such as Jenkins/Cruise-Control, JIRA etc. is an asset
