Description
My Limerick, Ireland based client has a requirement for a skilled Senior QA Engineer. This is an initial 6 month daily rate contract with an option of extension or permanency afterwards.
Responsibilities:
- Contributes to test cycles planning.
- Design and maintenance of test plans, test scripts, test cases and data.
- Test planning for each new release.
- Help to coordinate test activities across IT teams to ensure the smooth running of test cycles (integration, system, cross browser, regression, deployment).
- Report/log detailed defects for development team and rapidly turn around fixed defects to production
- Creation and maintenance of automation test scripts for projects.
- Liaises with development to ensure complete resolution of system defects.
- Communication with end users, QA Team Lead and external partners regarding projects and issues
- Maintenance of and creation of automated test scripts for release scripts.
- Production of test progress status and reports
Requirements:
- Minimum of 4 years' experience as a software tester position with proven experience in defining test plans and executing QA cycles.
- Degree in Computer Science or Equivalent
- Experience and understanding of web UI, browser based testing.
- Strong understanding of software product development and QA life cycles
- A track record of successful project completion working in a team environment.
- Ability to multi-task and test different applications necessary for a release with a proven ability to work under pressure and deliver within tight deadlines
- Proven analytic and problem solving abilities.
- Experience in Agile Methodologies, an advantage
- Strong interpersonal and facilitation skills.
- Ability to work to tight deadlines within all stages of the development/testing/delivery to UAT process
- Strong Experience and Knowledge of automation tools, technologies and best practice (Selenium WebDriver Experience an advantage)
- Proficiency in Java, JavaScript, and Automation test frameworks.
- Excellent communications skills, both oral and written.
