JOB DESCRIPTION:
Our client is in need of a Senior IP Telephony/AV Engineer to assist with implementation of IT infrastructure as designed within a newly constructed State medical facility at Morganton, NC. Hands-on experience in a broad range of IT Infrastructure technologies including the implementation of Local Area Networking (WAN/LAN, Switches, Routers), Servers, virtualization (VDI), Voice Over IP (VOIP) telecommunications, and IP Video.
Duties Include but are not limited to:
- Support the technical implementation and deployment of IT VoIP telephony, WAN, FoIP, enterprise Audio/Visual technologies, LAN and Technology infrastructure as designed by the architecture team of a new medical grade IT network/infrastructure solution.
- Provide technical expertise in development of system requirements, request for proposals, contracts for services, and serve as the expert in that product area.
- Review vendor installations and test (all levels) IT infrastructure components/systems (custom and COTS).
- Provide IT infrastructure/systems support and transition knowledge to operations and maintenance support staff.
- Serve as the Telephony/AV team lead to coordinate and oversee subprojects initiated with vendors and sub-contractors.
- Develop and review technical documents produced by the Vendor or other external sources according to internal and external security standards and policies.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience with the installation of Voice and Data LAN infrastructure equipment including Routers and Switches and configuration of VPNs and VLANs.
- Experience with the installation of Network Access Control (NAC) infrastructure and its configuration, including policy enforcements, mobile device management, intrusion prevention, and identity and access management.
- In depth experience in voice communications to include VOIP infrastructure installation and configuration of voice hardware to include wired and wireless telephony and unified communications.
- Strong communication and interpersonal presentation skills.
- Strong knowledge of IP enterprise Audio/Visual technologies
- Experience with hands-on technical consultation roles, cross-functional teaming skills with peers, and working with business clients.
- Experience leading work unit on any given subproject and communicating effectively with external resources.
- Must be able to travel 3-4 days per week - Morganton, NC. Construction; Greenfield environment. A valid driver''''s license and reliable transportation are also required.
Preferred:
- CCNP or equivalent experience.
- Knowledge and exposure to VoIP Wireless networks
- Experience working in psychiatric health care environment and familiarity with mental health networks (nurse call & voice paging systems) and business processes.
- Experience in installation and configuration of VoIP Unified Communication systems.
- Eight (8) years' experience as Senior IP Telephony/AV Engineer.
