Cisco/Windows Network Engineer - Banking
This is a potentially long-term opportunity with a major global financial services institution !
They are looking for a CCNP level Cisco Engineer who also has a good understanding of Wintel network engineering ie DHCP, DNS, WINS, etc. However, the main focus of the role will be on the Cisco side including extensive project work.
The role will encompass the following activities:
Looking after the bank's EMEA region network including fault finding, fault resolution
Providing cover to 1st-3rd line support staff
The design and delivery of new network solutions
Supporting the implementation, support and maintenance of the company's network security infrastructure
Supporting the Wintel network infrastructure
LAN/WAN infrastructure project work
To be considered for this role you will need the following skills, attributes and qualifications:
-A banking or financial services background is essential
-A Cisco CCNP or equivalent level experience
-Strong Cisco networking skills
-A sound knowledge of NXOS and Cisco IOS
-Cisco 3x00 and 2x00 series Routers
-A thorough knowledge of Nexus 6500 and 4500 Switches
-A sound knowledge of OSPF and BGP routing
-A strong knowledge of Windows networking ie DNS, DHCP, etc
-Checkpoint Firewall technologies
A MCSE or similar qualification on the Windows side and knowledge of Palo Alto would be highly desirable.
