Senior CAD Surveyor - Land & Mapping
Contract - Based in SW London - Hammersmith
We have an immediate requirement for a CAD Surveyor, working on a 6 month contract with a client of ours in West London, in the Hammersmith area.
In order to be successful with the role, the ideal candidate will be a proven Surveyor with CAD qualities, ideally based around Land Surveying, CAD and Mapping.
The role of Senior Surveyor will see you work within the Transport & Highways area, working into the Senior CAD Technician and Senior Land Surveyor.
You will need to be proficient with CAD, with considerable knowledge in Surveying and Mapping.
Responsibilities will include:
- To carry out topographical surveys, structural monitoring, leveling, setting-out, measured building surveys, CAD plotting and general data capture, to high standards of expertise and using specialist technical knowledge.
- To work with specialist land survey and CAD software, including downloading data from GPS/data loggers/field computers, processing and structuring, and the presentation of this data, in order to provide a high quality service.
- To prepare all necessary specifications, cost estimates and timescales and to agree these with the Senior CAD Technician, Senior Land Surveyor and the client.
- To respond to queries in relation to public highway and to carry out investigations, as necessary, with other Departments and external organisations.
- To provide presentational mapping for various departmental, divisional and other client projects.
- To be responsible for advising the Senior CAD Technician on policy and procedures for the development and improvement of CAD uses throughout Transport and Highways.
- To ensure all information based on or reproduced from Ordnance Survey mapping, displays the appropriate copyright and acknowledgement information, and to liaise with the Senior Land Surveyor/Ordnance Survey Liaison Officer on matters relating to the Public Service Mapping Agreement and copyright licensing.
