Civil & Cabling Field Manager/Supervisor x2 (Micro Trenching construction/CSCS, Streetworks & NRSWA Supervisor Tickets/NEBOSH/IOSH/Health & Safety Certificates/Civil Engineer, broadband, cable, network) are urgently required by our Global Telecoms Services Company for an initial 4 month contact, to be based in York.

Our client is looking to on-board one Civils & one Cabling Field Supervisor responsible for the delivery of traditional & Micro Trenching construction to cost and compliance to all elements of health and safety.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervising/managing gangs/teams within the Telecoms/Construction/Cable/Utilities/Broadband background (or equivalent)
  • Liaising with site managers, end clients & third parties.
  • Promote site safety.
  • Carry out pre-site surveys and deal effectively with planning departures and site problems.
  • Planning and prioritisation of civil work activities (team visits, checks, meetings, etc.)
  • Ensure accurate completion of all paperwork in job packs and signing off quality certificates.

Skills Set:

  • Proven experience of overseeing and managing the delivery of civil/cabling field activities
  • Hands on experience/managerial experience within: Cable Works, Construction Work, Laying Cable, Cable TV work, Construction of chambers and street cabinets; cabling - fibre optic.
  • NRSWA/Street Works Accreditation/Tickets (supervisor level)
  • CSCS Supervisor Card
  • Health & Safety Passport (or equivalent)
  • Flexibility to undertake occasional travel in the UK
