Role: Controls Project Engineer
Location: Cambridge
Duration 6/12 months rolling
Rate: Negotiable
Start Date: ASAP

PURPOSE OF JOB
*Provide Electrical & Controls Engineering skill and knowledge to the Project Engineering team.
*Successfully lead and participate in engineering projects on site.

PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES
*Participating in multiple engineering projects including working with suppliers to ensure achievement of time, cost and performance targets.
*Develop concepts into detailed control specifications in a broad range of engineering areas.
*Creating, maintaining electrical, instrumentation and controls documentation.
*Key part of the engineering team supporting the safe operation of the site, including the use of industry standard risk assessment techniques, issuing and controlling safe system of work permits.
*Supporting Site Breakdowns as required, inclusion in the on call rota system.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
*Project Engineer with a Controls background
*Recognised Electrical Engineering Degree or equivalent
*Project engineering experience in a manufacturing or process environment
*Project management experience within multi-disciplinary teams
*Experience including design and specification of industrial chemical processes or similar.
*Rockwell PLC knowledge required (Logix 5000 & 500, plus RS view)
*Demonstrable ability to lead and control capital projects.
*Experience of industry standard risk assessment techniques such as HAZOP, FMEA.
*ATEX & commissioning experience would be advantageous.
