Knowledge and Experience
Strong knowledge on Design Data Management processes like Configuration Management, Change Control and collaboration
Knowledge of IC hardware design processes and related digital/analog development flows
Good knowledge of configuration management tools like Subversion and Designsync
Knowledge of web architectures and web technologies.
Experienced in working with Linux environments
Experience with issue tracking workflows and systems
Knowledge about ITIL processes
Language skills: English, Dutch
Education HBO/WO
Summary of Project/Department
The Design Data Management (DDM) team provides the toolset that the hardware and software designers need to manage their data and collaborate during the design process. The DDM team is responsible for a number of "off the shelf" applications to support Configuration Management and Change control, Requirements Management and Change control Requirements Management and Project/Portfolio Management,
An important platform in the DDM space is the CollabNet TeamForge ALM suite with Subversion as configuration management application. Approx 4000 R&D engineers across the globe use the applications that are offered by the DDM team. The CollabNet TeamForge platform is being deployed to the hardware design community in order to benefit from one integrated configuration management environment via Subversion. In close cooperation with the design projects the new way of working and tool support is being deployed.
Next to the deployment activities other Day to day activities in the DDM team are:
- Develop/configure new functionality in the applications
- Advise the users how to make better usage of the provided set of applications
- Lifecycle management of the applications to ensure they meet the latest IT standards
The DDM team is part of the Product Creation Application team within the IT department.
Responsibilities
We are looking for a Design Data Management consultant in a long term assignment to strengthen the DDM team to:
oHelp deploying new applications and ways of working to the hardware design community
oAnalyze and implement changes as assigned
oEvaluate and test upgrades/new functionality on applications in scope
oExecute general software development tasks (Scripting)
oAnalyze requirements from designs and translate this into improvements, new ways of working.
oExecute 3rd line support on the TeamForge platform
