I am currently working with an NHS organisation in the Midlands who require an Interim Information Team Leader to join them for a 12 month contract.Objectives of the position:
- The post holder will be responsible for managing the day to day workload of a team of Information Analysts/Officers, helping to deliver the requirements of the business.
- This involves ensuring the provision of a high quality' information support service by prioritising and coordinating staff workload; ensuring all staff related training and development needs are met; managing the expectations of all stakeholders, both internally and externally.
- The post holder will oversee the production of regular and ad hoc reports and statutory/non-statutory returns of information, ensuring they comply with the latest guidelines; to effectively manage routine and ad-hoc reporting and seek ways to automate/streamline workload.
- To support the production, development and promotion of the Information services team across the organisation and develop collaborative relationships across teams and divisions.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience of working in an Acute Trust setting.
- The post holder must have specialist knowledge and expertise within NHS Information and be fully conversant with the datasets and returns captured in the NHS.
- The job entails the provision and explanation of complex information. The post holder must therefore have excellent communication and written presentational skills and reasonable verbal presentational skills. They must be confident when communicating with people at all levels of the organisation and also externally.
- Experience of Inpatients, outpatients, and A&E datasets.
- Experience of RTT, Diagnostics Returns.
- Developed specialist knowledge and expertise within NHS Information.
- Evidence of ability to apply expert knowledge of acute hospital data collection to support development projects.
