Senior Functional Safety Engineer

As senior functional safety engineer you will be expected to lead the documentation and sign-off of a safety critical electrical steering system. This will involve the following on software, hardware, controls and mechanical aspects to ensure ISO 26262 is achieved at all stages
* Proactive approach to Hazard analysis, hazard testing, FMEA, FTA.
* Technical leadership for safety standards and analyses including checking the work of others
* Act on the results of any analysis or validation tests to ensure the safety of the product is not compromised
* Develop a reliability analysis, advise on statistical techniques and reliability estimates

Essential Skills:
* Degree in electrical, electronic or software engineering
* Familiarity of ISO 26262 or IEC 61508
* Previous functional safety experience on a complex automotive, rail or aerospace real-time system
