I am currently recruiting for a market leading business who are working at the forefront of their sector. You will be working closely in small agile teams to design, develop and test C++ software, for Linux based platforms.

Reporting directly to the Team Lead and indirectly to the Head of Engineering.
Required Skills
High competence in C++ and C (Linux Based)
High competence in Software Architecture
High competence in Object Oriented Analysis, Design and Programming
Strong understanding of design patterns, refactoring, testing and code quality
Experience of multithreaded and multi-process systems
Working on cross-site projects and liaison with third-parties
Technical Competencies (preferred)
Digital TV (DVB-T/S/C/T2/S2) knowledge
Digital visual entertainment technologies (HbbTV, VoD, DRM, OIPF)
TCP/IP based systems (IP streaming, DLNA, MPEG-DASH, HLS etc.)
HTML, CSS, Javascript or other web technologies
Ability to work with and understand technical specifications (e.g. ETSI, ISO and DVB)
Knowledge and experience of Agile software development (e.g. Scrum, Kanban, XP)
Experience with Linux, build systems and scripting (Make, bash, Python, Perl etc.)
Experience with Android platform development.

Qualifications

This position is paying up to £55,000 and comes with an attractive benefits package which includes pension, health care, sick pay and much more.
