FINANCIAL ACCOUNTANT - EMEA - INVESTMENT BANKING - OUTSOURCING
Canary Wharf, London - 6 months
Overview
To drive control, governance and improvement agenda in the financial accounting teams across Continental Europe and the Middle East, and entities within the UK. To facilitate the management of existing group processes
Responsibilities:
* Support the FA Continental Europe controller in general accounting and regulatory governance.
* Perform deep dive reviews where issues arise in specific locations.
* Run remotely and assist with ad hoc projects across the various locations in the region.
* Provide advice and support to FA country heads as and when required.
* Appropriate documentation and reporting.
Skills and Experience Required:
* Qualified accountant.
* Banking accounting experience required.
* Experience of liaison with smaller offshore locations in Europe or Asia.
* Very strong communication and collaboration skills - need to be able to work with staff from many countries where English is not first language.
* Also need to be able to work with a virtual team where others will be more senior.
