For one of our clients we are, on regular basis, looking for a System Install Engineer.

Introduction:

Within the Twinscan Factory, the department System Install Engineering is responsible for the installation of clients systems on site in accordance with strict quality norms and a strict delivery schedule.

Job Mission:

To Install leading edge lithographic systems, at the customer site, within specifications, on time, with quality exceeding the customers' expectations.

Job Description:

During the last 3 weeks of the Test phase of a machine, the SIE will join the test department making himself acquainted with the technical status of the machine that he/she will eventually install at the customers site. The SIE will host the transfer of responsibilities between the Test - and System Install department. To accomplish that, during those 3 weeks he/she will gather all technical ins and outs, check the final performance data as well as prepare all involved paperwork necessary for the transfer. When the transfer is completed the SIE will prepare his/her trip and all involved paperwork enabling him to get to the customer. On site at the Customer, the machines will be mechanically assembled by a third-party-company. The SIE is expected to join the install after mechanical-install at the moment of power on , when the integration phase of the install starts. The SIE is expected to calibrate and qualify the machine on site, according to a pre-defined test-sequence similar to the tests that have previously been performed in the Netherlands as well. During System Install the SIE is responsible for all communications concerning progress reporting to his/her Team-Leader in the Netherlands, as well as technical escalations with the Technical Specialists both in the Netherlands as well as on-site at Customer-Support. At the end of the System Install period the SIE is expected to deliver his/her system according to previous agreed performance specifications detailed in a Performance-Report, similar to the one that has been agreed upon during Test. He/her is expected to prepare all transfer documentation and again host the transfer moment, this time between SIE and the Customer-Support department.

Education:

Intermediate Vocational (MBO+ with experience) or HBO in an engineering field or equivalent experience; mechanical aptitude, knowledge of electronics, optics, pneumatics.

Experience:

Mechanical Engineering (WTB) without any Electrical knowledge is not enough. Candidates must speak/read/write English perfectly.

Personal skills:

Analytical thinker. Flexible. Stress resistant. Structured. Able to work independent as well as in a team. Good knowledge of the English language. Good communication skills with focus on reporting, understanding, influencing and supporting. An interest in other technical processes. Self-sufficient. Awareness of various cultural differences

Context of the position:

20% of the work will consist of hand-on adjustments of complex mechanical systems. 80% of the work will consist of performing tests, defined in software from behind a computer screen at the machine. Should expect to spend about 80% of the time inside the clean room working with mechanical and electrical equipment. Should expect to travel about 60% to 75% of the time to customers worldwide and spend the remaining time in the Netherlands (roughly 4 to 8 weeks abroad, 3 weeks in the Netherlands). When in the Netherlands during the Test-phase the SIE is expected to work in day-shift only (40 hours). However, in the Netherlands during a new-product introduction and/or during training the SIE could be asked to work in a shift-schedule for a short period of time. At the Customer site the SIE should expect to work 6 days a week in various shift schedules as allowed within Dutch Labor Law specifications. (early and late shift as well as 24x7 shift patterns are to be expected) Should agree to a 3-years gentleman's agreement within the department of SIE, before being able to further his/her career within the company.
