Title: Integration Manager

Location: Close to Amsterdam, NL

Contract:        

CIO (Corporate Information Office) is one of the three Technology departments which enables our major telecommunications client to provide the services it offers both internally and to end consumers. CIO's areas of responsibility are research, design, implementation and support of the IT systems that allow our affiliate companies across Europe to deliver services to our customers. CIO strategy is to find and deliver cost effective Pan-European solutions to meet affiliate business requirements and to support new products in the marketplace. To deliver services, CIO employs a series of standard processes to support Corporate approval, budget checks and adherence to SoX.

Purpose Statement:

The purpose of the Integration Manager is to work within technology-driven programs to coordinate integration and technical troubleshooting for CIO deliveries (OSS/BSS/Web). The Integration Manager role is responsible to ensure IT component integration is fully supported throughout the delivery of a program. The Integration Manager role is typically specialized with a technical skill set around the technology employed in the program, but the Integration Manager supports and works closely with other Integration Managers to assure alignment and standardization of the role's responsibilities and deliverables.

The key measure of success in this role will be the reduced time to market, budget adherence and on-time delivery of assigned initiatives and/or programs.

Main Responsibilities

The main responsibilities of this role, which should include but not be limited to:

  • Perform a Technical Integration Management role within the CIO Deployment Group.
  • Support the CIO Deployment Team, CIO Test Centre Of Excellence and DMG Program Manager.
  • Serve as CIO technical single point of contact for DMG programs, supporting integration activities for the assigned program.
  • Identify program technical dependencies, manage cross-functional teams to drive, track and deliver all necessary IT components, data alignment, and message structure of the components to complete the delivery and testability of the E2E solution.
  • Support the DMG Program Manager, JIT (Integration) and UAT (User) Test Managers in the delivery and connectivity of the IT component prerequisites and post requisites for testing and deployment.
  • Support CIO Architecture and DMG in the review of design artefacts across multiple vendors, countries, and corporate business units.
  • Execute within the Change Control process across multiple programs.
  • Create and manage environment Connectivity Matrix, Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM) Component Availability, Integration reporting and planning.
  • Challenge the status quo and champion new initiatives; act as a catalyst of change and stimulate others to change to increase operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with CIO management to ensure that the CIO technical teams consistently follow the documented and agreed IT Deployment processes. Drive and support operational excellence.
  • Facilitate communications across technical delivery teams and component owners (both internal and vendor). Serve as escalation path for teams across the client's organization (CIO,CTO,CNO) for Integration Management issues encountered throughout the SDLC.
  • Work with the CIO technical team to identify opportunities where technology and data management best practices can drive incremental business benefit for CIO as well as the countries.
  • Act as the incident triage lead for integration issues in the test or production environments, including incidents related to component connectivity, message structure, and environment mapping (version control, IP addresses etc.).
  • Own Integration Test Stubs - Manage Test Stub Change Control, Test Stub Inventory, Version Control and Deployment fully supporting E2E test activities with integration focus.
  • Provide support to internal OSS, BSS and Web teams, and external technology partners, as required to ensure deliveries are met on schedule, with high quality, and within the allocated budget.
  • Build relationships with other corporate teams and country affiliates to align CIO deliverables to strategic business initiatives. Assist in the planning of CIO deliveries to meet value-based strategic objectives of the business.
  • Contribute to budget management through efficient use of integration resources and vendor recommendations to create additional value for the business.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • A minimum of 5 to 7 years related experience.
  • Bachelors (Computer Science or MIS) degree, or comparable experience.
  • 3 + years of technical experience with Web Front End, business and operations support systems (OSS/BSS/Web) a project management, technical integration or technical support role.
  • Experience managing Matrix organizations delivering IT implementations and involving multiple software application integrators.
  • In-depth understanding of all Software Delivery Life Cycle (SDLC) phases including development methodologies - Waterfall, Agile, Scrum.
  • Exposure to Java, Oracle 9i/10g/11g, SQL, network topology and architecture.
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills including development and delivery of Microsoft PowerPoint presentations.
  • Knowledge of commercial ERP systems, web and portal technologies, enterprise application integration using services, or an enterprise data layer.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with various people and organizations in an effort to develop win/win results.
  • Deep level of proficiency and understanding of information technology and the linkage between business processes, people and systems.
  • Broad technical knowledge of cable and IP network technologies, cable company & telecom operations and IT solutions.
  • Lead by example; providing clear communication, recognising team and individual achievements, providing and supporting opportunities of professional development of both the individual and team.
  • Excellent communications skills, with the ability to confidently communicate effectively and concisely to all employees, including senior management, preventing misinterpretation and ensuring mutual and shared understanding.
  • Proven ability to establish and maintain effective working partnerships at all levels through a collaborative approach with a wide range of groups, including internal departments, Affiliates and vendors.
  • Organisation and analytical skills; with the ability to see at both the helicopter view and focus on detail if required.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office and PC based application proficiency.
  • Proven motivational skills with direct and indirect reports, enabling effective and successful collaborations.
  • Proactive individual - able to see issues and suggest solutions before they arise.
