Description
Job Elements: -* Responsible for the design and implementation of a variety of software solutions including embedded and PC based applications.
* Analysing user requirements
* Negotiating product requirements with internal and external customers
* Creating technical specifications and test plans
* Investigating new technologies
* Evaluating software and hardware/electronic systems.
* Researching, designing and writing new software programs.
* Testing and debugging.
* Liaise with design/test engineers regarding recommendations/preferences to enable seamless integration into production.
* Continually updating technical knowledge and skills by attending in-house and/or external courses, reading manuals and accessing new applications.
* Customer visits within the UK and abroad.
The ideal candidate will have:
* Embedded C programming 5+ years
* Serial communications: CAN, LIN, SPI, IIC etc.
* Software document/testing and qualification
* Microchip/8051
* CAN J1939/CANopen
* PWM control
* Electronics design.
* Schematic/PCB layout - Proteus/Altium
* CVI Labwindows /Labview
* Project planning
