Senior Credit Risk Analyst - Hampshire - £ a Day - 6 Month Contract - Financial Services
Role description:
Reporting into the Head of Decision Analytics, role will be responsible for design of analytical frameworks to solve business problems and execute them with clarity and brevity. Remit for all lending portfolios: Commercial & Residential Mortgages, Asset Finance and Invoice Finance (SME Lending). We are looking for motivated and exceptional analysts who are keen to be part of a growing organisation and be willing to learn new tools and concepts.
Responsibilities:
*Design structured analysis and execute them to achieve the end goals for business
*Be an independent thinker and a driver of analytical best practices using tools like SAS/SQL
*To engage with the credit bureaus and maintain a working and productive relationship
*Be the subject matter expert for Internal Risk grading and own the implementation and maintenance
Technical requirements:
*SAS Base/SAS Enterprise Guide/SAS Enterprise miner and SQL user (Skill level required- med to high) - This is a key requirement
*Excel user- Should be adept with handling pivots and large excel files operations. Be able to crunch data in an informative manner
*Analysis- Be analytical in approach and a good problem solver. Should be able to design analysis and execute with clarity of end results
*Strong, demonstrable experience of working in decision analytics teams - ideally in SME lending as well as retail/consumer lending
*Previous delinquency and loss modelling experience is strongly preferred

*Candidate must be motivated and driven to achieve results in a high performing team
*Should be enthusiastic to learn new concepts and execute analytical ideas independently
*Should be able to communicate complex analytical/business problems to a non-technical audience
Experience/Education
*5+ experience in solving analytical problems for Banking and Finance
*A good degree in a numerate subject such as Maths, Statistics, Operational Research or Economics preferred
