My local authority client are currently looking for an interim procurement & contracts manager to work within their Public Health department.

The assignment will involve monitoring and reviewing the financial performance of the department, and identifying any cost and efficiency savings. It will also involve market testing and spend analysis to identify new cost savings, and possible re-commissioning of services. Some of the high priority areas for the department include sexual health services, mental health services, and the NHS healthchecks programme, so an understanding of any of these areas would be beneficial.

Experience and a detailed understanding of procurement and OJEU regulations is essential.  

The assignment will initially be until the end of March 2015.
