Category Manager, Category Management, Local Authorities, 12,6 Month Contract, Lancashire

Category manager's x2 required for my Lancashire based client for an initial 12 and 6 month contract.

The roles and responsibilities of this post are;

To take on line management activities for Category Officers, dependent on category
To utilise best practice Category Management processes and procedures which yield efficiency and tangible procurement savings in agreed categories, embracing the relevant portion of Council's In-Scope expenditure
To act as the co-ordination point for all category management activity for a specific sub category, under the overall direction of the broad category managed by the Senior Category Manager
To manage consistency in all aspects of the sub category relating to pre and post contract activity as well as purchase to pay
To support transformation of the delivery of goods through category management, supplier and market development across a broad category of spend
