Senior Compliance Manager. UK Advisory. FCA Compliance. Asset Management. 

A major UK asset management organisation is seeking a contract Senior Compliance Manager to work on UK Advisory activities in their City of London office.

Significant experience in FCA Compliance in the UK Asset Management sector is required.  The role will focus on the compliance input into the delivery of significant business change programme but will also involve providing support, for example around consideration of regulatory changes, to the existing Compliance Advisory team.

Key skills and experience required:

Qualifications and experience.

  • Extensive experience in Compliance in the Asset Management or Private Banking sector.
  • Knowledge of the U.K. regulatory environment, particularly regulatory processes such as variations of permissions (VoPs) and waivers and the Client Assets/Client Money regime required;
  • Experience in working in a project/programme environment working to challenging deadlines and successfully identifying and mitigating risks to project success.
  • Demonstrable experience working with Senior Management and Board directors as well as participation in senior risk and governance committees.
  • Experience of working independently to provide high quality compliance advice to business colleagues and Senior Management, including the ability to provide effective challenge to, and oversight of, the business and project-led decisions
  • University degree from any discipline
