Role: Senior Accounting Officer - Treasury
Duration 6 months
Location: The Strand, London
Job Purpose
Treasury Finance Accounting Analyst - Accounting and Business Analysis for Global Treasury transactions.
Experience Required
*Experience in FTSE 50 Financial Reporting for Treasury business and experience of supporting a Corporate Treasury function.
*Professional accountant with ability to produce high quality work to tight timelines with consideration and ability to proactively support senior colleagues.
*Foresee and quickly acts upon potential issues and tasks.
*Comfortable in sharing ideas and information with others and assimilating and applying technical and business process information received.
*Good time management, looking to proactively provide value to the team.
*Strong task focus with clear ownership of deliverables
*Very good technical accounting experience (including (FTSE 100) reporting)
*Good operational understanding of derivative financial instruments
*Project management skills for planning completing required tasks.
*Strong excel delivery
Qualifications:
*Qualified Accountant - ICAEW/associated body/parallel finance qualification
Key Tasks
*Part of a busy and interactive accounting and reporting team supporting the business transactions for one of the leading Corporate Treasuries. The team covers all aspects of Treasury accounting.
Responsibilities and Tasks
*Supporting senior accounting managers to deliver monthly and quarterly financial and management reporting for the Treasury activity. Instruments include large debt and derivative portfolio and the accounting for these instruments to ensure reliable reporting. (Balance Sheet and Income statement
*Production of monthly reconciliations and proofs including responsibility for completing Sarbanes Oxley controls and documentation
*Support the monthly Treasury Finance Report, issued to senior management within Finance and Treasury
*Provide proactive support to the Inter Company Accountant in various monthly operational tasks and ledger reconciliations.
*Assist in the production of statutory Treasury related disclosure notes for UK entities and sub groups.
*Providing active support and significant contribution into Treasury and Finance projects, including the on-going system development and testing.
*Ad-hoc projects and responsibilities as required on TMS improvements including monitoring system maintenance release updates and any reporting impacts.
