I am looking to hire a Cost Modeller for our Defence sector client
Key Performance Indicators The Senior Analyst will be expected to:
Support the delivery of high quality outputs in a timely fashion.
Provide a strong contribution of leading and supporting others.
Work effectively as part of a team on a number of studies.
Develop an understanding of MoD policy, capability planning and financial processes.
Identify opportunities for improving analysis methods and tools.
Develop and maintain an effective network of customers and key stakeholders in the capability and finance areas of MOD, academia and industry.
Technical/Professional Knowledge and Skills Essential:
Drive and enthusiasm, completing tasks effectively within allocated time.
Experience of problem solving.
Ability to communicate in a clear and concise, customer-focussed manner both verbally and in written form.
Proven record of working independently and as part of a team (to tight deadlines and under pressure), reporting progress and problems promptly.
Knowledge and interest in Defence issues and the Armed Forces.
Experience in using MS Office suite, in particular MS Excel and MS Access and general computer literacy.
Desirable:
Experience of overseeing the work of or mentoring less experience staff.
Experience of using Microsoft Visual Basic.
Experience of using a range of visualisation techniques to effectively present analysis to customers.
Technical/Professional Experience Essential:
Experience in carrying out complex statistical, econometric, analytical or mathematical research work.
A good track record of maintaining and developing good relationships with customers, leading to supporting their most important decisions.
Understanding of UK defence and security environments.
Desirable:
Experience of supporting customers through cost or financial analysis.
Experience of analytically supporting the MOD capability planning process.
