Description
Database Developer/Engineer
An experienced multi skilled developer with DB experience of minimum 2+ years with good knowledge of Database development on OLTP environment such as Oracle or SQL Server and/or Vertical/NoSQL DBs such as MongoDB/Hadoop. The candidate should be able to demonstrate experience developing professional Internet, Intranet and Extranet sites based on an interactive E-commerce, highly transactional and commercially focused web applications. This is the ideal role for a programmer with RHEL experience looking to develop their career.
Experience required
o DBA knowledge of Oracle 11g+ and/or SQL Server
o Experience of Hadoop Application Services
o Experience of Vertical DB (MongoDB/Hadoop)
o XML, XSLT, Schemas
o DB Scripting/DML/DDL
Desirable skills include
o AGiLE based life cycle development
o Experience of Windows, linux/UX Server platform
o Provide advice and present on solutions for Business Intelligence and data warehousing activities including reporting, data analysis for stakeholders at different levels within the organization.
Main Duties
o Establish a vertical database POC using relevant technologies
o Migrate OLTP to Vertical environment
o Experience of Data Analytics and R technology
o Understanding and following approved Disciplined Agile methodology.
o Performs other job related duties as assigned
o Applies in-depth or broad technical knowledge to maintain one or more technology areas (eg Oracle/MS SQL Server, Vertica database concepts).
