We require an experienced Web Designer to play a key role in the ongoing design of our large website that is serving the digital, advertising and PR agency industry. This person will be leading the design and providing input on the user experience for the online education portion of the business. We are building a progressive online experience, already serving several hundred agencies.

This role will be close to full time, freelance.

The Position Will Include:
- Creative brainstorming to enhance the current User Experience through design.
- Collaborating with our team on overall online product and service ideas.
- Developing the design concepts to bring the user experience to life, within our current brand tone/personality.
- Working closely with our front/back-end developers to ensure the site is visually on spec.

Qualifications:
- Ability to develop progressive, contemporary web design based on achieving a specific user experience, within the voice of a brand.
- Knowledge of CSS and HTML 5 a plus.
- Knowledge and demonstrated experience with cross-browser and cross-platform issues.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a team and to communicate clearly.
- Strong knowledge of current web-design trends and techniques, an online portfolio displaying user-centered design.
- Ability to work (at times) on-site in our Ballard office is a plus but not necessary.

Bonus (but not necessary):
- Experience working on a membership-based, community website that hosts a high volume of content and a high level of user interaction.
- Experience creating HTML emails campaigns.
