Description
IT System Administrator - Basra, IraqIT System Administrator reports to the IT Back Office Manager. IT System Administrator is responsible for all aspects of systems administration including, implementation, configuration, coordination, control, maintenance, troubleshooting, security, usage monitoring and the development of specialized system procedures.
Key Accountabilities
Analysing system logs and identifying potential issues with computer systems
Performing routine audits of systems and software
Performing backups
Applying operating system updates, patches, and configuration changes
Manage to Installing and configuring new hardware and software.
Adding, removing, or updating user account information, resetting passwords, etc.,
Answering technical queries and dealing with often frustrated users
Responsibility for documenting the configuration of the system
Troubleshooting any reported problems
System performance tuning
Regular training and development of ROO IT SOC staff
IT Systems Administrator Criteria & Qualifications
5+ years hands on experience with Microsoft technologies.
Demonstrated experience with Best Practices in Microsoft and general networking technologies.
Extensive knowledge Operating system and hardware level support.
Knowledge of data backup methodologies.
Experience on maintaining Servers.
Knowledge of operating Storage Area Network environments.
Track record of delivering services to agreed targets.
Experience in managing performance of 3rd party service providers.
Working knowledge of Infrastructure services frameworks eg ITIL.
Knowledge of IT standards, processes and policies.
