Embedded Design Engineer is required to join a fast growing business based in Norwich. As an Embedded Design Engineer you will be required to carry out a number of pressing tasks. Additionally you will be responsible for the Research, design, develop and test embedded software..

The rate: £45,000 - £50,000
Location: Norwich
Type: Permanent

Essential

- C language, in embedded environment

- DSP algorithm design

- Ti DSP and Ti BIOS

- Ti Code Composer Studio, MS Visual Studio

- CAN Bus, SPI Bus

- Comprehensive knowledge of full Software life-cycle including specification design, test and documentation

- Proficiency in problem solving and debugging skills.

- Hands-on experience developing for embedded platforms and/or real-time operating systems

- Motivated, quality-focused engineer with excellent team working skills

- Good English communication skills, oral and written.

Highly Desirable

- ARM C development

- VHDL experience

- Xilinx FPGA experience

- Video Compression - H.264, MPEG4

- Xilinx Zynq experience

- Matlab experience

Role and Responsibilities:

- Working closely with and under supervision from Project Technical Lead

- Research, design, develop and test embedded software.

- Working with the engineers and to define Embedded Software requirements and designs that meet project objectives.

- Maintaining existing project codebases

- Working with the engineers to integrate Embedded Software/Hardware designs with system designs

- Ensuring that the specifications of projects are correct and match actual development

- Ensuring high quality and effectiveness in Embedded software/hardware specification and design

- Working with the development teams to continually define, improve and develop methods and processes

- Carrying out best practice engineering methods

- Ensure compliance with company's HSE policy and actively promote safety within the work environment
