Sustaining Engineer Circa £55K. North East AberdeenProgressive Global Energy is currently working with a leading technology development company in the recruitment of a Sustaining Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis within their office in the North East of the city.
My client is developing downhole concepts for various international clients. These concepts go through design, testing, qualification and development phases for manufacture and you will be involved throughout the full lifecycle.
On a day to day basis you will be responsible for:
- Providing support of ongoing sustainability tasks for new products, prototype build, testing and field trials
- Execute rapid response projects for improvements and accessories
- Deliver innovative solutions to meet engineering needs using Solidworks
- Provide support and mentor the junior engineers by checking designs and calculations
Previous experience required:
- Knowledge of downhole equipment both practical and design
- Experience of precision engineered machines and manufacturing
- Extensive knowledge of CAD tools, ideally use of Solidworks
- Previous experience in a product sustaining role
- It would also be an advantage to have previous field experience

Qualifications required:
- Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or similar. A HND/HNC may be considered should you have gained extensive industry experience.
- Esp or Downhole experience
