Principal EIA ConsultantOur client is looking for a Principal EIA Consultant to join their offices in either Glasgow or Edinburgh, working with an existing and growing team. The position is ideal for someone looking to join a company that can match ambition with opportunity and growth. The position will take on the responsibility for coordinating delivery EIAs for the UK, primarily focused on Highways.
Responsibilities
- Coordination and management of multi-disciplinary teams working on individual transport/highways EIA projects
- Effective management and technical delivery of route corridor assessments and EIAs for major transport/highways projects
- Managing, motivating, mentoring and developing professional staff
- Robust project financial management
- Managing and developing client relationships
- Identifying and proactively pursuing new business opportunities.
· A degree in a relevant environmental subject
· Chartered status
· Consultancy experience with a primary focus on transport/highways environmental assessment
· Commercial awareness, communication, project management and report-writing skills
· Up-to-date knowledge of UK environmental legislation
· Experience of DMRB, Public Local Inquiries, Scottish highways projects, EMS, CEMP, CEEQUAL and Sustainability is highly desirable
