Quantitative Research Manager - Global Media Company - London

You will work within Research and Learning Group's analysis team providing technical advice on quantitative research design, implementation and analysis across a range of projects.

You will provide technical advice for ensuring comparability in the design and quality of data collected in large-scale quantitative surveys.

You will work support the media production team ensuring that quantitative research is technically well designed, resourced, implemented and reported.

The role also aims to improve the quantitative research capacity of Research and Learning both in London and international regions.

Main Duties

  • Advise on the design and implementation of large-scale quantitative surveys across multiple countries including multi-country indicators and analysis.
  • Advise on the design and implementation of other research techniques such as use of quasi- experimental design
  • Develop systematic and comparable technical approaches to quantitative design including sampling, research instruments and analysis plans; data analysis including interpretation and dissemination across a range of projects.
  • Advise peers and in-country staff on all aspects of quantitative research.
  • Lead on improving internal procedures and documentation with regards to quantitative research eg commissioning of agencies, analysis specifications.
  • Plan and monitor quantitative research resource needs, including creation and input into
  • Gantt charts and research, project and programme plans, and budget oversigh
  • Undertake, and support others to design and undertake quantitative data analysis, ensuring that the interpretation supports development of media products.
  • Provide training to London and international researchers on statistical analysis and quantitative research design.
  • Lead on specific analyses on individual projects and across multiple projects as prioritised.

Essential Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Advanced quantitative data analysis using SPSS, including factor analysis, ANOVAs, multivariate (logistic, OSL regression) and segmentation techniques.
  • Proficiency in using SPSS programming syntax for data management and analysis.
  • Strong basic quantitative data analysis using SPSS, such as Chi-squared tests, t-tests, confidence intervals.
  • Experience in sampling design for large-scale population surveys, including multi-country studies.
  • Advanced use of SPSS syntax such as writing Macros or using Matrix language.
