We are currently looking for an experienced Oracle DBA to work with one of our prestigious clients.

We are looking for experience with Oracle 11g, PL/SQL, RAC, Enterprise Manager or Database Console, Shell, DataGuard (Opt), ASM and either Linux, HP-UX, Sun Solaris or AIX experience.

You will have ideally some or most of the following experience:-

- Basic technical knowledge across multiple technology areas including: performance tuning, storage, networking, client libraries
- Basic experience with data modeling, database design, and Oracle patching methodologies
- Excellent analytical, problem solving, written and oral communication skills
- Minimum OCP Certification required, OCM Preferred
- Create monitoring, failover and failback capability in the various deployment modes.
- Responsible for designing, developing, testing, implementing, maintaining, and supporting simple to moderately complex components of the systems infrastructure.
- Setting up extracts and replicates and monitor the lag with automation.
- Identify and implement design recommendations in support of new and changing needs of the business
- Familiarity with rdbms to help setting up the golden gate process and working with the underlying tables for analysis.

The role will involve:

Build database scheme, tables, procedures and permissions
Set up data sharing and disk partitioning
Develop database utilities and automated reporting
Create shell scripts for task automation
Create, test and execute data management languages
Analyze and sustain capacity and performance requirements
Analyze, consolidate and tune database for optimal efficiency
Monitor systems and platforms for availability.
Oversee backup, clustering, mirroring, replication and failover
Restore and recover corrupted databases
Participate in a 24x7 On Call Rotation
