Description
Manage projects, initiation through closeout, as assigned and within the parameters of cost, quality, schedule, and objectives. Provide the primary daily representation on site drive activities with the supported of a larger construction team and management. Oversee all aspects of project including setting deadlines, assigning team responsibilities, managing subcontractors, and monitoring progress of the project.Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
The project manager will work in a remote field office and/or project site trailer managing a new construction project for a single end user.
Manage the detailed project scope of work, schedule and budget on a daily basis
Oversee quality (QA/QC) and subcontractor performance
Monitor Safety of subcontractors and provide safety reports
Direct the Project Team and integrate all resources
Coordinate EMCS work with Mechanical Contractor including but not limited to work associated with Central Chiller Plant, Air Handling Units, VAV Boxes, and CRAC units.
Oversee EMCS start-up, checkout, and commissioning.
Ensure stakeholder review and buy-in of all project deliverables
Implement submittal and engineering reviews
Provide submittal and RFI processing
Perform daily job site walk-throughs
Provide regular communication to Senior Project Manager on progress
Manage the financial aspects including but not limited to billings, invoice approvals, forecasting
Ensure proper Contract Administration on contract(s) as required, including subcontracts, closeout, and post-project lessons learned
SKILLS:
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree (technical or management discipline preferred) and 4-7 years of experience in the field or a related area OR 8-10 years of industry experience, with at least 3 years in the field of management of projects.
- Proficient with computers and MS Office (Word, Excel, Project)
- Able to learn and work with various computer based systems
- Experience in the construction industry
- Working knowledge of HVAC systems with an emphasis on Building Automation Systems (BAS, EMCS, FMS, etc.)
- Financial/budget experience
- Scheduling experience
