Description
Coding and marking equipment for use in a broad range of industrial markets including: food, beverage, pharmaceutical, automotive, aerospace, electronics sectors.To help design new products, from early prototype to product launch. To design and implement improvements and cost reductions to existing products. To create production documentation and manage engineering changes. The successful candidate will liaise with manufacturing sites in the USA and China and the UK to achieve these goals.
Responsibilities
To analyze problems and design solutions.
Testing of solution
Estimation of timescales for proposed work
Effective communication of changes with manufacturing sites
Use of manufacturing IT systems to document and implement changes.
Education
Mechanical engineering graduate (min 2:2)
Work experience
1/2+ years in mechanical design / manufacturing environment.
Skills required
Design of small machines, accuracy in documentation, attention to detail, good communication skills.
Special qualifications
Interest in or training in production engineering would be advantageous
Level of travel
Occasional site visits will be required to the USA and/or China
