World leader in bespoke ZigBee technologies seeking a skilled Firmware Design Engineer to join a growing development team at the forefront of the Internet of Things revolution.
You will be responsible for the design, development and implementation of firmware on embedded targets and will be involved in the full lifecycle including requirements capture, documentation of design specifications, firmware coding in C, creating test specifications and validating implementations.
The successful candidate will have:
- Demonstrable track record in embedded firmware development in C, C++ or Assembler
- Exposure to SPI, UART or I2C protocols (or similar)
- Experience with one or more scripting languages (PHP, Python)
- Full development lifecycle experience
- Knowledge of 8 to 32 bit embedded platforms, protocol stacks (TCP/IP), wireless and RTOS
- Knowledge of embedded microcontrollers (ARM, PIC, AVR)
- Strong documentation and troubleshooting skills
- Experience with UML
Knowledge of zigbee would be an advantage as would previous development on mobile platforms such as Android or iOS. Great opportunity to work with emerging technologies for a genuine market leader. Interview slots available. You must be willing to travel to client sites if and when needed.
