To assist in the development of both mobile applications to run on mobile devices and "Back Office" services that draw data and apply business rules.

The Back End Services Developer will work as part of a development team and focus upon development and enhancement of "services" to be utilised by mobile applications delivered as part of the Project.

The role is a development role to build or modify "services" using C#/.Net technology. The role is part of a small mobile application development team who use SCRUM Agile approach and thus the role may be required to assist in any facet of mobile application development as required. This could include development of appropriate unit tests.

The successful candidate will need experience with:

JBoss, Net and PL/SQL;

Mandatory:

  • Thorough knowledge in Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) patterns and principles
  • Substantial experience in the development of C#/.Net service architecture using Microsoft's WCF and WebAPI frameworks
  • Proficiency in the definition of service contracts and in definition of XML schema supporting service messages.
  • Proven ability to understand and maintain complex systems written in Microsoft technologies (C#/,Net), working collaboratively as part of a development team

Desirable:

Candidates will be well regarded if they can demonstrate skills and experience in at least two of the following:

  • Writing and running unit tests in a .NET environment
  • Agile delivery and ability to contribute to business value delivery using SCRUM Agile methodology.
  • Developing service analytics.
  • Developing auditing capability within services.
  • Oracle data base experience including PL/SQL development and maintenance.
  • RESTful exposure of C#/.Net services using JSON
  • Biztalk or other ESB/Orchestration/Integration technology in a Microsoft environment
