Change Finance Lead - Fully Qualified Accountant

Banking client in London Canary Wharf require a Change Finance Lead to join on a 6 months contract paying up to £750/day.

You will be responsible for the management of all elements of finance across a large technology portfolio of work (~£500m).

Core responsibilities include the following:

*Manage the overall Portfolio budget, forecasting and financial reporting.
*Establish and implement financial governance and cost structures.
*Identify cost saving opportunities and maximise the use of sanctioned budget by supporting and challenging budget holders.
*Prepare monthly management information, supporting financials and commentaries.
*Review and understand Portfolio level financial trends in order to set strategic direction for the component projects and programmes
*Review and analyse financial management information with a view to achieving cost saves and efficiencies.
*Develop the financial toolset and implement continuous financial process improvement.
*Budgeting, forecasting and liaison with finance & project managers.

Essential Skills/Experience:

*Must be fully qualified accountant ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA
*Comfortable liaising and maintaining relationships with stakeholders and senior management
*Strong analytical skills with the ability to gather/understand complex information from a range of different sources
*Proven capability in undertaking financial analysis and review, identifying and implementing change to deliver improved economy and efficiency
*Experience of financial governance, management and administration, in both operations and portfolio/programme/project environments
*Governance of finance function
