Python Software Developer

Description

ZenDoc are looking for a developer to work on our back-end architecture. You will be working closely with our existing development team taking full responsibility for all of the back-end code and ensuring it's functionality with our back-end systems. You must be experienced developing Python using TDD and have a portfolio demonstrating this.

This role is available to mid level and senior developers, however attitude trumps everything. We're looking for people that are continuously learning and improving, and who will grow with the company.

Requirements:

Expert knowledge of Python is essential;

Demonstrable experience designing and building ReST APIs using python;

Have experience with Python web frameworks like Pyramid, Flask or Django;

Knowledge of SqlAlchemy and PostgreSQL, MySQL or other relational databases;

Strong written and verbal communication skills (in English);

Ability to take initiative and work well alone as well as in a team;

Have experience with TDD, CI and deployment automation;

Experience with e2e and unit testing frameworks;

Passion for delivering value through solving customer problems.

Desired:

Have worked with DCVS on projects before (git or hg);

Linux system administration experience;

Experience with Nginx or Apache;

Experience with Sphinx Search;

Bonus - experience with JavaScript frameworks such as AngularJS.
