Description
EDI Consultant, SAP, Inovis TLE, Unix, Shell Scripts, XML.EDI Consultant required for a 1 year fixed term contract role in Weybridge.
PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
To assist our clients customers manage their co-operative relationships with their customers by the use of electronic data interfaces.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Working in a team offering EDI and interface services to our clients customers across the EMEA region.
1. Monitor and ensure the smooth running of the EDI system.
2. Support the planning, implementation, development, maintenance and support of electronic systems (both traditional EDI and other technologies) for the EMEA customers.
3. Assist customers and other staff in the development and improvement of business processes.
4. Monitor and introduce new technologies as required to help achieve a competitive advantage in a difficult business environment.
5. Act as one of the contact points for EDI services.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
" Qualified to at least degree or the equivalent level.
" At least 2 years of hands on experience of working with EDI.
" Confident & articulate.
" Strong interpersonal skills.
" Good project management skills and able to work in a dynamic challenging environment.
" Good knowledge of the IT industry, in particular emerging technologies in the EDI field.
" Experience of SAP systems and its interface technology.
SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES:
Must have at least 2 years current experience of any EDI translation software, Inovis TLE would be an advantage.
At least one years experience gained working with a large ERP system, preferably SAP.
Customer focussed, has the ability and desire to help the customer.
Knowledge of business processes, especially in area of sales and logistics.
Self-starter, able to identifies what needs to be done and does it.
Able to work in a team as required, but able to work alone when required.
Good verbal and written communication skills at all levels in the corporate environment.
Knowledge of Unix (preferably HP-UX) and shell scripts.
Knowledge of XML and other web based standards an advantage.
Logical and analytical.
At least 2 years of IT experience.
Have the flexibility to work in a multi-cultural environment.
