Systems Analyst - BANKING Global Custody £470My client, a leading global bank in London is looking for a contractor to join their team for a rolling 6 month contract:
Role: IT Systems Analyst
Rate: £470 per day
Duration: 6 months rolling contract
Location: London (CITY not Canary Wharf)
Position Purpose: Responsible for providing analytical and technical support on Transitional application and Global Custody projects based on operational and market requests. Acts as a key resource in relation to planning tests; and to provide support to the Business Users during User Acceptance Testing.
Key Accountabilities:
- Create required documentation that follows the relevant project lifecycle
- Liaise with business and vendors to obtain important information as and when required
- Ensure that internal written requirements adhere to regulatory requirements.
- Provide business system knowledge, analytical skills to facilitate timely resolution of issues relating to numerous market products within Global Custody.
- Provide guidance to the developers of business knowledge in relation to agreed development deliverables.
- Assist with testing inclusive of scripting and test results
- Assist users with new enhancements and functionality
- Ensure that procedural documentation is complete ready for go live
- Provide support and flexibility to fellow peers and members of project teams globally.
- Participate in-group discussion and suggest enhancements to your role and processes where improvement could be gained.
- Support key quality and productivity initiatives
- Maintain productive contacts and relationships with internal business teams, and Change Management
- Build productive relationships with internal departments located outside of the UK and create working relationships Knowledge and Experience:
- Proven Business/System Analysis competency
- Proven experience within a financial institution
- Proven project initiation to delivery experience.
- Global Custody Knowledge to include Corporate Actions, Cash, Trade Instructions and Settlements, and Reconciliations.
- UK Custody Knowledge
- Experience of working with 3rd Party vendors Skills and Competencies:
- Ability to interpret and analyse requirements
- Ability to write Business Requirements documents that can be transformed into a technical specification.
- Milvus / iSeries Experience - would be an asset
- Corporate Action Applications - would be an asset
- SWIFT - would be an asset
- Euroclear - would be an asset
- UK Custody / CREST - would be an asset
- Regulatory knowledge - would be an asset
