My client based in Lisbon, Portugal, requires an English speaking Senior SAP Basis consultant to join them on a 3 month contract with a possible 6 month extension.
You will join the SAP Basis and Security team supporting various SAP environments as well as implementation projects in an international context and multicultural environment.
Main Duties and Tasks:
- Integrate the SAP Basis and Security team and support the various SAP environments as well as support the implementation projects.
- Plan and manage activities in the SAP Basis Components area in an international environment operating with onsite and offsite teams;
- Resolution or managing the resolution of incidents and change requests;
- SAP monitoring;
- Monitoring and tuning of Oracle databases;
- Provide technical expertise in supporting ABAP software development and Functional Team members;
- Manage and execute the SAP transport system;
- SAP security administration;
- Management and execution of SAP installations and upgrades;
- Assist on design and sizing of SAP landscapes;
- Official communication language with customers in English.
Experience in the following areas is required:
- MUST HAVE Experience on SAP Security (Roles, profiles and SAP Best practices)
- MUST HAVE Experience in SAP Migration activities (Heterogeneous/Homogeneous system copies)
- Solution Manager knowledge
- Experience with Oracle databases
- Experience with UNIX and Linux operating systems
- Excellent communication skills
- Proactive approach
- Experience of working alongside internal and external providers in an international context
- Ability to travel/ability to be relocated for short periods in other European countries if required.
Languages:
- Must speak, read and write fluently in English.
- Portuguese language skills is a plus.
