Description
Primary Responsibilities
Design and implement consistent, reliable, maintainable and scalable Oracle and Informatica based ETL solutions
Work closely within the Analysts and Product Ownership team to understand the ETL requirements of our business partners
Analysis of data sourced from a variety of sources
Collaborate with Database Engineers, DBAs and QA to ensure requirements are delivered on-schedule and to a high level of quality
Adapt, contribute to and drive the adoption of Data Engineering/ETL processes and practices
Liaise with senior ETL/database engineering colleagues in multiple locations
Education and Experience
Required
Degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline
Minimum of 5 years of experience in RDBMS, preferably Oracle SQL & PL/SQL
Expertise in data analysis
Experience in data movement and ETL development projects (preferably Informatica)
Experience in developing using formal development methodologies (Agile experience a plus)
Desired
Experience in working with Job scheduling tools (preferably Autosys)
Familiarity with logical data modelling and relational database design experience using the CASE tool PowerDesigner
Familiar with multiple database concepts, ie RDBMS, OODB, ODS, Warehouse
Experience in using utPLSQL
Oracle Certification would be highly desirable
Experience working in UNIX environment
Experience in Shell Scripting preferably C-Shell/K-Shell
Proficiency with one or more source control systems
Experience working with project teams located in multiple geographic locations.
