My major Investment Banking client based in London is currently seeking an Operations Risk and Control Analyst to join their Operations Team.
Key Skills required for Operations Risk and Control Analyst:
*Risk analysis skills (data and process) - analyse control processes to identify key issues
*MUST have experience of working in an Operations environment as well as Risk, Audit or Control experience
*Investment Banking product knowledge - ideally Prime Brokerage
*Ability to analyse complex data and make an assessment of Risk
*Excellent organisational skills and multi-tasking
*Detailed understanding of operations support functions (securities and asset servicing)
*Knowledge across operations product processes and control environment
*Understanding of regulatory environment and specifically for transaction reporting and client money
The role (accountabilities):
*As the Operations Risk and Control Analyst you will be functionally aligned to Prime Brokerage - Global Market
*Providing guidance for all risk and control issues that arise
*Perform a monthly independent risk assessment based on key risk and environmental risk.
*Assist the LOB with development of control policies and procedures
*Oversee the updating of process control documentation by the LOB throughout the year.
*Assist in the identification of key risks
*Attend weekly control meetings
