Description
Our client urgently requires a developer to assist in preparation for an anticipated busy period. It's a 4 weeks contract which may be extended.
Accountabilities
The project will initially focus on a revamp of the client's rostering system. As much of the work is centred on databases, a very good knowledge of SQL is crucial for the role.
The successful applicant must meet the following, essential criteria:
- Expertise in Web Development
- Hands on experience in ASP.NET and C#
- Excellent SQL experience. Must understand subqueries, query optimisation, understanding the nature of data structure, and minimal reliance on 'helper tools'
- Good understanding of mathematics from a business/transactional perspective
- Worked in a point-of-sale (POS) environment
Other desirable criteria that the client would take into consideration includes:
- Silverlight/AJAX experience
- Background in accounting, physics or chemistry
- Experience with IM services (Spark)
