I am looking to hire a Financial Lead for our public sector client.
The holder of the role will be expected to have experience of financing major infrastructure projects, which may include financings in the utilities sector, and in assessing risks associated with different types of financing (for example bond vs bank). The holder of the role is likely to have had experience as a senior lender, in an infrastructure fund, equity investor, monoline, credit rating agency, or as a professional adviser on a major infrastructure project. Applicants will have to confirm that they have no conflicts of interest to work on this project.
The role is expected to last for six months extendable by three months. The work will to an extent be reactive but is likely to average two or three days over a week. Flexibility on availability will be an advantage.
Key tasks and deliverables
Support and possible lead for the Government side in discussions with potential equity investors bidding for the independent 'TunnelCo' as part of the Thames Water procurement process, to ensure that the equity investor financing plans are fully understood, that investors fully understand the GSP financing covenants and that Government fully understands the risks of signing the GSP with each investor. The holder of the role will be expected to work closely with the Government's financial advisers, EY, and legal advisers Ashurst.
