Category Manager/Procurement/Construction

We are currently seeking to hear from candidates who have experience within a local authority setting in particular in construction procurement. Candidates will be experienced in sourcing tools and techniques and also have a strong track record of implementing savings. Successful candidates for this role will need to have a detailed knowledge of procurement legislation, bid tendering and contract/supplier management.

The main purpose of the role will be to identify category strategies for areas to be addresses within the specific procurement plan and to also deliver the procurement category strategy including sourcing activities and achieve financial savings through insight and analysis of category and sub category areas.
