EXPERIENCED SENIOR QS REQUIREDLOCATION - Watford
DURATION - 3 years
This person will be working on a £40million project to rebuild a gas plant. Need c. 10 years' experience of working within a QS/Senior QS role (ideally with Gas experience) and solid experience of managing complete projects.
- BSc degree qualified equivalent
- Minimum 5 years post qualification experience dealing with a range of onshore natural gas plant & process projects.
- Minimum 5 years post qualification experience working with NEC form of contract.
- Worked in role of Client QS
- Computer literate
- Preparation and calculation of Phase 1 indicative budgetary project cost for Client project approval.
- Preparation of Invitation to Tender documentation.
- Attend tender evaluation meetings, assist in reviewing tender return documentation. Compile cost models and undertake commercial evaluation
- Provide advice and assist in the resolution of contractual disputes arising between parties
- Address all Early Warnings and Compensation Events through to resolution including assessing and evaluating each.
- Maintain a comprehensive change control register for the overall project in accordance with the Clients quality management systems.
- Provide Client with support and advice relating to commercial matters
- Carry out monthly assessments of contractor's works.
- Preparation of financial close out report for the project.
- Administer terms and conditions of the contracts and ensuring all parties engaged are working within the parameters and objectives.
- Facilitate quantative risk management workshops and calculate.
- Programme/planning management
- Maintain a whole life cost monitoring and performance management package.
- Monthly accrual reporting
- Attend, chair and minute meetings
- Report writing
- Ensuring Allocation of Competent Resources
- Assist and teach junior QS.
