Senior Embedded Software Engineer / Architect - AndroidMy client is a leading designer and manufacturer of innovative, high-end, interactive learning & development tools and have recently moved to a new State of the Art facility in Lancashire. They are embarking on an exciting project to design and build a new flagship product that will further establish the company in the market.
They have an urgent requirement for an experienced Senior Software Engineer/Architect to design and develop the complete Android software platform for their new product.
Responsibilities
- Assisting in the specification of the new device in liaison with the Software Engineering Team
- Tailoring the vanilla Android OS to the specific device hardware platform
- Develop hardware drivers, services and libraries in both the Android kernel and user space, to provide Android App developers with access to the available hardware features
